Anastasia Adams is a highly experienced and accomplished Set Decorator, Commercial Art Director, and Senior Buyer originating from New York City with a passion for transforming spaces into visually captivating environments. With nearly two decades in the industry, Anastasia has worked on a diverse range of film projects, showcasing an exceptional eye for detail and a deep understanding of storytelling through visual elements.
Having graduated from The School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor in Fine Art & Design in 2006, Anastasia possesses a solid foundation in design principles and an extensive knowledge of historical periods, art movements, and cultural references.
Throughout the years, Anastasia has worked extensively on TV commercials, films, tv shows, music videos and high fashion photo shoots with celebrity clientele including Alec Baldwin, Yoko Ono and Lady Gaga. Commercial clients include Disney, Samsung, Mercedes, Breguet, Maybelline, Pepsi, IBM, Pfizer, Chanel amongst numerous other major brands.
Anastasia’s creative process involves meticulous research, sourcing, and selection of props, furniture, and set pieces that not only enhance the storytelling but also reflect the characters' personalities and the overall mood of the film. Her keen attention to detail ensures that every element on set is carefully curated, resulting in a cohesive and visually stunning final product. Anastasia’s ability to interpret scripts and translate them into tangible visual concepts has earned her a reputation for being a versatile and reliable collaborator.
In addition to her technical skills, Anastasia also possesses excellent communication and teamwork abilities. She thrives in fast-paced and collaborative environments, working closely with production teams, art directors, and set dressers to bring the director's vision to life. Her strong organisational skills and ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively make her an asset to any production.
With a passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends, Anastasia constantly seeks new challenges and opportunities to expand her expertise. She is adept at adapting to different genres and styles, whether it be period pieces, contemporary films, or fantasy worlds, and is always eager to take on innovative and ambitious projects.
Notable achievements include her work being displayed at The Met Gala (2013) which went on to be published in the New York Times article entitled ‘A Neccessary Stop’. In addition, her work has been displayed on billboards in Times Square and various prestigious magazine covers such as Vogue, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.
In 2020, Anastasia emigrated to the Gold Coast in Australia and is continuing to work in film and television constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to expand her expertise.
